Hey. My dell Vostro 1720 has worked fine with UBUNTU 11.10,but suddenly it started to beep every time I press a key. It makes me crazy. Can anyone help?
No wireles connection: VOSTRO 1720 / UBUNTU 10.10 / SMC7904WBRA2.
It used to work, but now I can't acces the wireles network - it's “not aktivated”:
mollerik@erikVOSTRO1720:~$ rfkill list
0: dell-wifi: Wireless LAN
2: phy0: Wireless LAN
Is this supposed to be an answer?
I've uppgraded to Ubuntu 11.10, but steel no wireless conection.
Could you please tell me in human words, what to do?
Hi I have a dell vostro 1720 and I am thinking of installing Sun Solaris 10 on it. Does anyone foresee any hardware compatibility issues?
Thanks for your help.
Hello,
I have a Vostro 1720 with Ubuntu 9.10 too. For me the Card Reader and the Webcam works without any manual configuration. I only installed cheese to test the webcam and it works fine.
Hello, I have a vostro 1720 with ubuntu 9.10. The webcam doesnt work. How did you manage to install it? Do you think I should use ubuntu 9.04 instead?
Thanks!
When the compatibility = “yes”, the comment should say which driver worked for you, what configuration was used, etc. works on ubuntu doesn't mean it works anywhere else.
