Just installed mint latest version and updated it. Planning to test Slackware too on my laptop. Just remember to turn of 'secure boot' in the bios to get it to work on Mint. You will then find a symbol for the Nvida card in the 'activity field'(right hand field) which when opened allows you to choose between the integrated Intel gpu or your Nvida card. I'm going back to Slackware to see what I've forgotten :), so to speak, and relearn the basics. Hate windows 10, it's so locked down and intrusive, so I said f* it.

got a 2in1 model, centos 7.2 installed fine, had to use a newer kernel for touchscreen support from elrepo. had to manually add the v20 iwlwifi 2625d ucode or it took 10 minutes for the wifi to connect. been flawless otherwise. i would expect fedora to work out of the box.

I have used Linux in the past on Desk Tops.. back in 2001-2005 but not on anything for a long time. My Last Desk Top died about a year ago.. of no fault of the Linux install more from the poor hardware giving up the ghost. I have no purchased a brand new Dell Inspiron 15 7000 2 in 1 64 bit computer. Its amazing with only one exception. Windows 10. Wont say much there. I would like to duel boot.. just so I can experiment on the Windows 10 OS but still have the Good Ol reliable Linux OS on the hardware. I see no one has posted anything on this model .. so I am hoping since this is a relatively New Model .. some one will help support my need. I used to install Ubuntu, Freespire.. and a few other common distros for friends and even a local Mom n Pop coffee shop. They worked the heck out of them until the hardware died as well. Any one want to direct me to a Distro that will support the Touch Screen.. etc of this model ? thanks
